Switching care management suppliers might seem like a daunting task, but at Care Control, we’re…
Care Control VS Log My Care
When choosing a digital care management system, finding a solution that offers great value, outstanding features and a system that works seamlessly across your entire care organisation is essential. Care Control and Log My Care are two popular providers in the digital care management industry, but they take very different approaches. In today’s blog, we are going to break this down and show you why more care providers are choosing Care Control over Log My Care.
Let’s talk pricing: all-in-one VS modular 💵
Care Control
With Care Control, you pay for one comprehensive system that includes all the features you need to manage care and business operations. There’s no confusion, no hidden fees and no paying extra to unlock key functionality. You get everything, from care planning and eMar to rostering and HR, all for a single, transparent price.
Log My Care
Log My Care operates on a modular basis, meaning you start with the basic system and pay extra for add-ons like rostering or medication management. While the initial cost might appear lower, the total price can quickly escalate as your organisation grows or you require additional functionality.
Pricing comparison
Using Log My Care’s website we put their pricing plan to the test and compared it against our pricing.
These calculations are based on a 50 service user care home with 70 staff members. Let’s start with Log My Care
Starter Plan (Free)
A basic plan with limited features:
- Task Management
- Logs
- Advanced access security
- Charts
- AI Support and Help Centre only
However, it lacks key tools essential for running a care organisation efficiently, like care plans, rostering, or incident management.
Pro Plan £450.00 per month (Excluding VAT)
£450 set up fees
Everything in the Starter plan and:
- Incident follow up and reporting
- Care and support plans
- Body Maps
- Download centre
- Team training and skills matrix
- Self-serve support hub
- 24/7 live support
- Training available (at an extra cost)
Outstanding Plan for £600.00 per month
Set up fee’s £450.00
In this plan everything is included from prop with the additional features such as:
- Multi-sire dashboard
- Transferred services users between sites
- Self-service support hub
- 24/7 live support
- Training available (at an extra cost)
But what if you want to include additional features?
Now here is where it starts to get a bit messy. We wanted to add on their Rostering, Medication Admin and Family Portal to each plan. This is where the price starts to add up.
Rostering – an additional £210 per month when added to the Pro or Outstanding plan
Medication Admin – an additional £150 per month when added to the Pro or Outstanding plan
Family Portal – an additional £100.00 per month when added to the Pro or Outstanding plan
So, if you are looking to purchase the Outstanding plan with the additional features you are looking at paying £12,720.00 a year excluding VAT, set-up fees and training options!
Now Let’s Take a Look at Care Control
For a 50-bed care home, you’re looking at £700 per month (excluding VAT), which includes every single piece of functionality we offer. You get Rostering, Medication Admin, and a Family Portal, plus so much more, at no extra cost. That’s £8,400 per year (excluding VAT).
Setup Fees:
- Standard Setup: £499.99 (includes 4 hours of training)
- Migrating from another supplier: £999.00 (includes data migration, setup, and 4 hours of training)
That’s a major cost saving by choosing Care Control over Log My Care.
Why does this matter?
Paying a flat rate for a complete system with Care Control means better budget control, no surprises, and the reassurance that you’re always getting maximum value from your care management system.

Log My Care
While Log My Care offers useful features, many essential tools are only available as paid add-ons. Log My Care’s pricing structure is built on a modular system, where care providers pay for plans and additional features separately.
Let’s talk support options 🧑🏽💻
Care Control
At Care Control, we believe every care provider deserves exceptional support, no matter which plan they’re on. That’s why our ongoing support is included at no extra cost for all our customers.
We offer human support when you need it, whether you’re on day one or year five, you will always be able to speak to a real person. Our expert support team is on hand to provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance, ensuring you get the most out of your system.
Log My Care
Log My Care, on the other hand, only offers priority human support to customers on their Outstanding Plan. Those on the Starter or Pro Plans are limited to self-service support options, such as help centers, AI-driven responses or non-priority human support.
Why does this matter?
For Care Control, this approach doesn’t seem fair and we believe all our customers are our priority. We know that when you have an issue or a question, you need answers quickly and from someone who understands your needs. Care Control offers multiple support options to all customers including:
- Human support through phone, chat and email Monday to Friday 9 -5 pm available to all
- 24/7 Knowledge Hub with guided video tutorials and guides on every aspect of the system.
- 24/7 AI support chatbot available to all
- Self-led learning portal
- We prioritise all our customers
- Training and Implementation included within set-up fees
Let’s talk compliance and assurance ⭐
Care Control is an NHS-assured and fully compliant supplier, which means our software meets the highest standards for safety, security and interoperability. Whilst Log My Care provides great tools, not all suppliers can claim the same level of full compliance and assurance as Care Control.
Log My Care may be on the NHS Assured supplier list, but they are not fully compliant with all the standards set by the NHS. Two of the main standards Log My Care is still awaiting assurance on Clinical Safety and GP Connect. All information on Log My Cares Assurance status can be found here.
