MODS Compliance: Why It Matters
The Minimum Operational Data Standard (MODS) is a mandatory requirement for suppliers on the NHS Assured Solutions List. Introduced to improve consistency across digital social care records, MODS establishes a common standard for how care information is recorded and structured, supporting more effective and secure information sharing across health and social care systems.
As of 1 July 2026, all NHS Assured Digital Social Care Record suppliers were required to comply with MODS, marking an important milestone in the development of more connected and consistent digital care records across England.
In March 2026, Care Control became the first NHS Assured Digital Social Care Record supplier to achieve full MODS compliance, more than three months ahead of the national deadline.
