From our beginnings in a Devon care home to supporting care providers across the UK, Care Control celebrates three wins at the South West Care Awards 2026, recognising our commitment to people, partnerships and better care technology.

There’s something special about being recognised in the place where your story began.

On Friday 16 October, Care Control proudly attended the South West Care Awards 2026 in Plymouth, joining care professionals, organisations and businesses from across the region to celebrate the people making a difference in adult social care.

As a care technology provider with our roots firmly planted in Spring House, Tavistock, Devon, the evening was particularly meaningful to us. It was an opportunity to celebrate the incredible work happening across our local care community and reflect on the people and partnerships that have shaped our journey.

We were also delighted to return home with three awards:

  • Care Supplier of the Year
  • Digital Transformation Provider of the Year
  • Connectivity & IT Provider of the Year

We’re incredibly grateful for this recognition. But behind each award is a story about something much more important to us: the people delivering care, the relationships we’ve built and the team working hard to make care technology better.

Our Story Started in Care

Care Control wasn’t originally created in a technology company or a corporate office.

It began inside a residential care home in Devon.

Our founders understood the everyday challenges of working in care because they had experienced them first-hand. They recognised how much time care teams spent on paperwork and administration, and wanted to find a better way of doing things.

That experience became the starting point for Care Control.

Today, we’ve grown into a UK care technology provider, developing cloud-based care management software that supports care planning, medication management, rostering, staff management and much more.

But while our technology has developed and our community of customers has grown, our approach hasn’t changed.

We believe technology should be shaped around the people delivering and receiving care, not the other way around.

That means listening to care professionals, understanding the challenges they face and developing practical solutions that make their working lives easier.

It’s an approach that continues to guide our team today.

Supporting Care Providers Means More Than Providing Software

One of the awards we received on the evening was Care Supplier of the Year.

For anyone getting to know Care Control, we hope this recognition reflects something you’ll quickly discover about our business: we care just as much about the people using our software as we do about the technology itself.

Introducing new technology into a care service can feel like a big change. Care teams need to feel confident that they’ll receive the right support, that their questions will be answered and that someone will be there to help when they need it.

That’s why our customer support, onboarding and training teams are such an important part of Care Control.

One of the stories we shared in our award submission came from Diamond Care 2000, who spoke about the support they received from Natasha during their onboarding journey.

They shared:

“For those questions that did not have an immediate answer, Natasha always made us feel there was a resolution just around the corner.”

It’s a lovely piece of feedback, and one that captures the kind of relationship we want to build with every care provider we work alongside.

Behind every phone call, training session and support request is a real person who wants to help.

Our teams understand that care services have important work to do, and that having dependable support can make a genuine difference to their day.

Being named Care Supplier of the Year is something we’re particularly proud of because it recognises the people who bring that commitment to life.

Better Care Technology Starts With Listening

We were also honoured to receive the Digital Transformation Provider of the Year award.

When people hear the words digital transformation, they might think about new software, artificial intelligence or replacing paperwork with digital systems.

And while these developments have an important place in modern social care, we believe meaningful progress often starts with something much simpler.

Listening.

One example of this came through our work with Circle Case Management.

A person receiving care had highlighted that existing digital body maps didn’t accurately represent their body, including their amputations.

It was an important piece of feedback, and an opportunity to make our technology more inclusive.

Working alongside Circle Case Management, we developed body maps that better represent different physical characteristics, ages and skin tones.

For us, this is what meaningful digital transformation looks like.

It’s about recognising that every person receiving care is an individual, and that the technology used to support them should reflect that.

This same approach shapes how we develop Care Control today.

From everyday improvements suggested by our customers to developments such as MargoAI and CC Intelligence, our aim is to help care teams and managers spend less time navigating information and more time focusing on what matters.

Our product and development teams work closely with customers to understand their experiences, identify challenges and explore how technology can help.

Because care professionals know their services and the people they support better than anyone.

And when we bring that knowledge together with our team’s technical experience, we can create something genuinely useful.

Keeping Care Connected, Secure and Supported

Our third award of the evening was Connectivity & IT Provider of the Year.

It’s an award that recognises an important part of care technology that often goes unnoticed.

When care teams are recording daily notes, managing medication or accessing important information, they need technology they can depend on.

And when that technology handles sensitive care information, security is essential.

Behind Care Control is a dedicated infrastructure team working to keep our systems secure, reliable and connected.

Our commitment to information security includes ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications, UK-based cloud infrastructure and secure integrations such as GP Connect.

These aren’t simply technical achievements.

They’re part of the responsibility we have to the care providers who trust us with their information and rely on our technology as part of their daily work.

With October marking Cyber Security Awareness Month, receiving this award was a particularly meaningful moment for our team.

We’re proud to have knowledgeable, dedicated people working behind the scenes to maintain and improve the systems our customers depend on.

Their work might not always be visible, but it plays an important role in helping care providers feel confident in the technology they use.

A Devon Business With Care at Its Heart

Although Care Control now supports care providers across the UK, we’re proud to call Tavistock, Devon, our home.

Our South West roots are an important part of our identity.

From the care home where our journey began to the people who have joined our team along the way, our business has grown through shared experiences, ideas and a genuine desire to improve care.

And that sense of community extends beyond our office.

We’re fortunate to work alongside care providers who share their knowledge, tell us when something could be better and help us understand the realities of working in social care.

We don’t see those relationships as simply being between a supplier and a customer.

We see them as partnerships.

The people using our technology have helped shape Care Control into what it is today, and they’ll continue to influence where we go next.

That’s why being recognised at the South West Care Awards means so much to us.

It’s a chance to celebrate our local roots, the people who have supported our journey and the wider care community we’re proud to be part of.

Celebrating the People Behind Care Control

Of course, none of these achievements would be possible without our team.

Care Control is made up of people with different backgrounds, experiences and skills, but we’re all working towards the same goal.

From the colleagues supporting customers through their first training sessions to the developers creating new functionality, the infrastructure specialists protecting our systems and the teams keeping everything running, everyone has a part to play.

There are countless conversations, ideas, challenges and small improvements behind the technology we provide.

And behind those are people who genuinely care about the work they do.

To our customer support, onboarding, training, product, development, infrastructure and wider teams, thank you.

These awards are a reflection of the care, effort and commitment you bring to your work every day.

We’re incredibly proud of the people who make Care Control what it is.

Thank You to Our Care Community

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the organisers of the South West Care Awards for bringing together so many people and organisations dedicated to making a difference.

Congratulations to all the finalists, nominees and winners who were recognised throughout the evening.

Most importantly, thank you to the care professionals and providers who continue to trust us, work alongside us and share their experiences.

Your feedback helps us learn. Your ideas help us improve. And your dedication to the people you support reminds us why we do what we do.

Three awards are a wonderful achievement, but the relationships and people behind them are what we’re most proud of.

As we look towards the future, our focus remains the same as it was when Care Control first began in a Devon care home.

To listen to the people working in care, support them in the work they do and develop technology that makes a meaningful difference.

And we’re looking forward to continuing that journey together.
