Digital Social Care

Understanding the needs of the care industry

This achievement highlights how Care Control Systems are working to the highest standards to provide you and those you care for, the best possible experience. To achieve assured supplier status, the Care Control System had to provide detailed evidence in over 60 areas, and had to pass high bars set for system security, financial stability and social inclusion.

What is the Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS)?

The DPS has been designed to support social care and NHS organisations. Making the switch to digital social care much easier, giving them access to a list of quality-assured, accredited supplier solutions.

The adoption of digital social care records will play an important role in joining up patient care across both social care and the NHS, with real-time information being shared across commissioners and regulators.

The accredited supplier list presents a marketplace where social care providers can be reassured their preferred digital solution has met both functional requirements and standards, helping to remove a lot of the stress from purchasing a digital social care record system.

Digital Social Care Funding

£8.2m of the funding is to support providers to implement digital care

The government has set a target of 80% digitisation of the sector by 2024 and Sajid Javid said the government would publish its first Digital Health and Care Plan outlining how both sectors can benefit from digital technology.

We’re determined to support you in that endeavour, supporting providers with the connectivity and digital skills they will need to recover and reform in the years ahead.

The Health and Social Care Secretary has announced that the £150m the government was investing in social care was not a “nice to have” but an “absolute necessity”. £8m of that budget is to support the roll out of digitising social care.
