History – Where We Started

Our beginnings

Care Control was created by our founder and MD, Matt Luckham. After purchasing Spring House Care Home in 2010, Matt decided to develop digital care management software to help streamline and simplify processes. Created from a desire to provide essential and accurate information to stakeholders, staff members and regulatory bodies, Matt set to work developing the first version of Care Control.

Care Control has helped Spring House achieve outstanding results with CQC rating the home as outstanding on multiple occasions over the past six years. Many other care homes and agencies were keen to use the software, after recognising the transformative effect it’d had at Spring House. Realising it could provide fantastic value across the care industry, Matt decided to commercialise the software and Care Control as you know it was born!

History – The Present Day

Where we are now

Since Care Control was founded in 2016, the business has gone from strength to strength. Over 20,000 care professionals across the UK use our software on a daily basis and we’ve enjoyed significant year-on-year growth as a business. In 2020 alone, we saw record numbers of customers choose our software, branched out into overseas sales and expanded our offices – a truly remarkable year for many reasons!

We’ve also built an exceptional team over the years. We’re proud to have a team of more than 20 staff, who have a combined 100-years of direct, hands-on care experience. Our software developers are experts in their field and lead the way with their innovation. They’re constantly developing and improving our products to ensure we’re offering everything our customers need and expect. We have a proven history of listening to our customers and adjusting our functionality to truly give them what’s needed. Care is a complex sector, with unique challenges, so we take a highly proactive approach to ensure our software is industry-leading.

With such rapid change in the care and technology industries, the whole Care Control team are very excited to see what the future holds over the next decade.
