Learning their
Background
Tudor Care Home is a small residential home providing care for 9 residents, mainly with dementia. They approached Care Control to supply software for their care home in order to free up their carers to spend less time on paperwork and more time with their residents.
Understanding the
Challenges
Our main challenge has been to find enough time to do all the things we want to with residents, such as going out and doing activities. We were spending a great deal of time completing paperwork. This was our reason for looking at electronic care packages – to save time on paperwork and free up more time for fun with our residents!
Helping to find
The Solution
I researched systems online and looked at 6 different electronic care packages. I then arranged demos of all of them in May 2018. Care Control was the first demo and I really liked the look of it. The other 5 systems were all good, but I preferred some of the features of Care Control and the fact that pretty much everything is covered.
After persuading the home’s owners to invest in the system we started to set it up in September and went live just one month later in October – my staff love it and it has certainly freed up a lot of time. The support and training from Care Control’s Digital Transformation Manager has been invaluable and, apart from a little bit of training, the staff have quickly picked it up and are using the system very well.
